Current Events at Their Fingertips
Funded Aug 17, 2021Thank you SO much for your generous donation to our school. Our students are so excited to be able to get their own magazines, of current events, to help them partake in a more hands on learning approach. They are excited to know they will then get to keep these magazines to take home and be able to share their learning with their parents or guardian. Your donation made this possible for our students. The staff of James Love also what to say thank you for making this learning experience possible for us to do as teachers!”

Funded Aug 12, 2020Thank you so much for contributing to my students learning through your donation. This is a unique time during education and your support has helped my class close some of the gap. I am fully remote this year. My students have only gotten to come on to campus two times in groups of five. They came in lone enough to take benchmark assessments for data to help guide my instruction. The students were so excited when they had something hands on to practice their skills once their assessment was complete and they waited for the remainder of students to finish. As you can see from the pictures they enjoyed the challenge and independent practice time. I have also been able to use the flash cards during my virtual lessons. The students get so excited every time I use them. If I go a few days without using them they will ask and beg to "play the flash card race game". These games and fun interactive activities would not have been possible without you as a donor. Thank you so much. Your generosity has made the struggle of virtual school more impactful and fun for my students through the hands on materials we received. I know when the time comes, when students do get to come back face-to-face they will be just as excited to use the games for independent practice. Again thank you so much for all that you gave for our second grade classroom!”

Funded Aug 14, 2017Thank you so much for helping fund my project! The kids eyes lit up the day the packages arrived. They were super excited to get to use Lego's for learning this year. Most of my students do not have Lego's to interact with at home; some have never got to experience playing with Lego's also. So naturally we spent the first day exploring what Lego's are, creating fun builds, cleaning up, and caring for the Lego's. The joy and excitement in my classroom could be heard throughout the hallway. You can also see their joy in the pictures I uploaded. Since our first day with exploring, we have used the Lego kits to discover a more in depth understanding in math and we have began a creative writing piece with them. My students have been greatly impacted by your donations for our Lego kits. I get asked daily if we are going to be able to work with them that day. They even ask if we can not go to recess, which was their favorite part of day, to stay inside and explore with Lego's more instead! Your gift to our class has been greatly appreciated and has made a group of 20 students VERY happy and more engaged learners! They come to school excited for learning! I cannot say thank you enough for helping to create that love for learning within my student!”
