  • A Little Pal for Big Readers!

    Funded Apr 17, 2025

Thank you so much for your donation to this super fun project! The students are going to love reading to their animals. This will promote reading both here at school and at home! It will also definitely help with their fluency. Thank you again for your support! It is so appreciated!”

  • Reading Can Be So Much Fun!

    Funded Feb 12, 2025

I can't thank you enough for funding my project! Science of Reading is the focus for reading now and almost all of these items are based on the Science of Reading. I can't wait to use these items with my students! I know they will love them! Thank you again!”

  • School Supplies

    Funded Feb 28, 2024

Thank you so much for your donation to our project! I usually buy school supplies with my own money, so it was very nice not having to spend any of my own money to buy pencils and dry erase markers. I still have pencils and dry erase markers. The laminating paper is still being used to make centers for my current students, but was also used to laminate centers for my previous year students.

My students were very excited to get new school supplies. They really enjoy using their dry erase boards so the dry erase markers were definitely a hit with all the students.

Thank you again for your donation! It will not be soon forgotten!”

  • Reading A to Z Will Create Scholars!

    Funded Nov 30, 2022

Thank you so much for donating to my project - Reading A to Z for my classroom. This program gives them access to books on their level. The students can record themselves reading the books and then listen to themselves reading. This can help them with their fluency. I can also listen to them read which helps me decide when they are ready to move up a level. I love the quizzes that go with each book!

I used Reading A to Z as one of my centers. The students had to record themselves reading one book and then had to take the quiz on the same book. Then they had to read two other books and then take the quizzes for the books. I noticed huge improvements in my students' reading once they started using Reading A to Z! I can't wait to use this again next year!

Thank you again for your donation! It was so very appreciated!!”

  • Help Me With Treasure Box and Classroom Items!

    Funded Oct 14, 2022

Thank you for donating to my classroom! My students have loved all of the items! One of the surprise items that my students absolutely loved was the broom and dustpan. My students love to clean up little messes because of those mini brooms and dustpans. At the end of the day, some of the students rush to get one of them before other students do. I love that they love to clean!!

The sharpened pencils were such a great thing for me. I have to manually sharpen pencils once a week and this has cut down so much on the time and effort it takes me to sharpen pencils!

The students also loved the greater than or less than alligator magnet. It truly helped them learn how to compare numbers!

The other items were so appreciated, too! Thank you so much for donating to my classroom! Your generosity will not be forgotten!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Edwards

  • Tablets for My Techies!

    Funded Feb 23, 2020

I want to thank you immensely for donating to this project. My students and I are so grateful to you! We have been doing eLearning since March of 2020, so unfortunately my students haven't been able to use these. When we come to school in person, I know they will enjoy using the tablets.

They will use the tablets during centers! During our reading centers, they would be able to get on reading apps which can help them read better. One example of an app they could use is abcMouse. It reinforces what I am teaching them in reading, phonics and grammar. During our math centers, they would be able to use abcMouse again. It reinforces their learning in place value, addition and subtraction.

I look very forward to using them with this year's students when they come back in person! Thank you again for donating to this project!”

  • Scholastic News for My Scholars!

    Funded Oct 1, 2018

Thank you so much for the Scholastic News Magazines! My students and I have loved reading them! We have been reading them at least one a week since November during our Social Studies/Science time. We usually do three-four of the accompanying worksheets with each magazine which always cover at least one reading standard. These worksheets usually cover a reading skill that my students need extra practice with.

It has been a real struggle to get some of my students to read nonfiction, until recently. Since we have been reading the Scholastic News Magazines, many of those students have been selecting nonfiction books to read on their own. They have found a true interest in nonfiction books and I believe it is mostly due to the magazines.

I love that there are issues dedicated to current events. Most of the students in my classroom do not know or understand things that are going on in the world. These magazines have helped open their hearts and minds to these current events.”

  • Scholastic News for My Scholars!

    Funded Nov 24, 2017

Thank you so much for the Scholastic News Magazines! My students and I have loved reading them! We have been reading them at least one a week since January during our Social Studies/Science time. We always watch the videos that go along with the Magazine and the students have asked every single time we watch one if we can watch it again! We usually do two of the accompanying worksheets with each magazine which always cover at least one reading standard.

My students are struggling in and out of the classroom. They come from very diverse backgrounds. I have many students who struggle with reading. I do not have any computers for student use in my classroom because I don't have enough electrical outlets. Since the tablets don't need to be plugged in at all times, my students can utilize them every day. With the Amazon Fire Tablets, I can ensure my struggling readers get the extra help they need. My students will be able to use these during centers to help improve their math and reading skills. These tablets will allow my students to learn things specific to their interest and level as well as allow them to have many more learning opportunities!
