  • iPad for Learning

    Funded Aug 23, 2019

Thank you for your donations for our new

iPad. It's so important to expose students to technology early in life. The iPad will help me introduce them to coding and

other skill-building activities. I cannot wait to see the looks on their faces when I tell them we are getting an iPad for the classroom.

Next year, the students will take an

assessment test on an iPad. They must learn how to operate one now if they are

to be successful on the test. Thanks to you, they will start to develop those

    skills now.

One of my first plans is to upload simple

coding games for them to play. Regardless of their future career choices, the one certainty is that technology will play a role.

I know how thrilled my students will be when they learn that others care so much about their futures and their education. Thank you so much! You are truly appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lentz

  • Calming and Cooling Curtains

    Funded Aug 10, 2019

Thank you for my calming curtains and fire retardant. The curtains have made a huge impact. They've made the classroom a more friendly and calm environment. The fire retardant has been sprayed on, so they're now up to code. The kids and I love them.

The curtains have helped keep out light at nap time, cool our room, block distractions, and have made the environment more friendly. As you can imagine, the hot summer heat warms up the class. The curtains have made a huge impact. Rest time is more peaceful. The kids are able to take a nap without sun beaming on their face. We're so appreciative to have them!

As soon as I had them up, the kids noticed. They love them. The students and I thank you for making this protect possible. You're appreciated more than you know.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lentz

  • Classroom Furniture

    Funded Oct 2, 2018

Thank you for your donation of the easel, pocket chart stand, and paper sorters. Donors like you make it possible for teachers to have the materials they need to make their classroom a warm and effective learning environment. The kids love coming up to the easel to write their letters. The pocket chart stand is a hit for centers. The paper sorters have freed up cabinet space allowing me to organize my cabinets. Grabbing paper for centers is now easy and quick! I love how the paper sorters made my job preparing crafts easier. Your donation is appreciated more than you know. :)”

  • Flexible Seating

    Funded Oct 2, 2018

Thank you for your donation that made flexible seating possible for my class. Donors like you make it possible for teachers to have the materials they need to make their classroom a warm and effective learning environment. The kids love the option of sitting on a bouncy ball, wobble stool, or chair. I have noticed an increase in attention span. I have noticed a change in behavior as well. Also, the chairs help meet some of the kids sensory needs. Your donation is appreciated more than you know. :)”

  • Early Childhood Science & Math

    Funded Nov 3, 2017

The math videos have helped my students tremendously. They love singing and dancing while learning their numbers and shapes. The tunes are catchy. I find my students singing them all the time. I have found an increase in their learning of shapes and numbers since I have received the DVDs!

The sensory center involving the zippers, laces, buttons, etc. boards is one of their favorite new centers, next to the magnets. The children think the magnets are the coolest thing! It has become one of their favorite centers. I find that they are engaged the entire time. The students are able to explore magnets and answer questions such as, what happens when you put magnets together? They have found that they repel or attract. This is a great science concept they have been introduced to thanks to you.

You are helping my kids build important foundational tools they will need to be successful in science and math. Without your donation, my kids would not have access to these tools. I am very grateful for your donation. The impact it has had on my students is something that makes me extremely happy. Thank you again for your donation!”

  • A Love for Litearcy

    Funded Aug 7, 2017

The sources your provided have been beneficial in multiple ways. The students have a constant reminder of the alphabet letters, numbers, and their names by the new name tags, which are ecstatically pleasing! It helps them maths upper and lower case.

Okay now the felt board and characters are fun. The students are engaged when they have a visual to go along with the story! HOW COOL. The big mouth puppets are a great center/behavioral management too. They think it is hilarious to listen to the puppet talked. They are more engaged when the puppet is out, they are asking questions, and enjoying learning.

The alphabet mat oiks a terrific center activity. I keep the flash cards on a ring around me at all times to review the students during tansistion. I told them someone loved them so much they bought all these cool items to help them learn. You could see their faces beam with excitement. Thank you for your time. zigzags God BLess”

I teach Pre-K for Wilson Elementary at Horace Mann Pre-K Center in Oklahoma City. I use arts integration to reach my little learners. They are very active and need materials that help them interact with the content they are learning. Did you know about 90% of the brain is developed by kindergarten?! My students range in age from four to five years old. This is a critical learning year for them. They are little sponges soaking up everything around them. If you come into my classroom you will see children playing. I have structured areas set up for play based-learning. I Iove this quote by Mr. Rogers ,"Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood." Thank you for taking the time to read about my class. I want to set my students up for success! With your donation I can do this.
