Kindle Fires in our classroom will assist first graders not only with reading fluency, but will spark a love of reading in them! Kindles will offer my emerging readers the option to hear text while they follow along. Technology helps educators interactively engage students with fun learning approaches through animations, presentations, songs, games, and so much more! In addition to the academic benefits the Kindles will provide my students, they will also teach and promote tolerance by allowing students to make good choices while working closely and cooperatively with peers. Furthermore, the Kindles will provide acceptance of different learning styles that technology in the classroom can offer. The funding for this project will not only impact my current students, it will enhance the learning of hundreds of future first graders!
