Students will design an outdoor garden and will investigate plant growth as it relates to lighting, water and soil type. In order to explore and investigate this topic students will need to have the adequate amount of supplies. Outdoor plantar boxes will provide students the opportunity to learn how plants grow in regular soil. An indoor garden will allow for opportunities to compare plant growth as it pertains to sunlight verses artificial light and an outdoor hydroponics station will afford the student the opportunity to investigate plant growth as it relates to nutrient rich water as a source of food, Show me, Dont tell me! I am ready to provide what my students are yearning for. Learning that is authentic and meaningful where connections to the real-world are made and teamwork is part of the process.
