  • A Cricut for Pre-K

    Funded Sep 23, 2019

It is with great gratitude and appreciation that I submit this impact letter to you for your kindness and willingness to give towards listening to our classroom story" A Cricut for PRE-K" . These deserving students' learning will be enhanced as we use these supplies and materials to foster a positive learning environment within our classroom throughout our creative curriculum. The supplies will increase student potential in literacy, math, science, and the arts. It has been a positive influence that they have access to everyday and students are building and developing a foundation and understanding of different technology that is being created. Your recent donation of the circuit machine and bundle set means that you understand just how valuable it is to help children with disabilities it has been an amazing experience creating beautiful art work as well as projects that help them grow as individuals. We have been able to tap into further learning with the use of small group activities to focus on differentiation amongst our students. This allows the students to concentrate on their personal learning which can be limited when you have a large class and fun. Our children's face lit up when the supplies arrived, looking at these beautiful smiles everyday makes me even more proud of my students. I want to be able to give them all the opportunities they deserve. As of my students quoted when she opened the box its beautiful. Being a low-income neighborhood most of these children will never get to experience of new Technology. I wanted to give them the tools they need to be able to succeed and feel that they accomplished something wonderful. This machine that you donated has opened a new world for them. They are happy to come to school everyday to see the new things that they can create. We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this donation we couldn't have done it with out you. They love seeing what they created displayed in the classroom. It brings a smile to there face every time they walk into the class. Thank you for that I greatly appreciate your generosity. The impact of having technology in our classroom has been overwhelming and amazing. They were so shocked and amazed that they were giving such an awesome opportunity to have these great products. They have been using the machine to create stencils art to be displayed around the class and activities for the holidays. Once again, I want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting this project you have made a tremendous impact in our class. They love the fact that they can have fun accessing learning through art at a touch of a button and not be ashamed of where their own learning currently stands. Our class can't thank you enough for your generosity and this opportunity that you have given us, from the bottom of our hearts to be a success.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Tamayo

  • An Apple a Day Keeps Kids Learning

    Funded Aug 14, 2017

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my project. Having access

to a tablet in my classroom has had a great impact with my children, making it easy for them to navigate software that is needed for them to succeed and reach their goals.

The students are able to have bonus time to use the tablet for story time throughout the day. They enjoy sharing and spending quality time with their friends and contributing their experiences while learning and what they have watched.

There is nothing better than seeing a child's face light up with excitement when they are using the tablet.

We are very fortunate to have software provided to us by our district. The iPad allows the student the capability to make it easy to use the programs provided. By using the touch screens it allows them to develop motor skills as well as knowledge.

I believe that it takes a village to raise a child. Loving parents, caring teachers, and generous donors like you are helping to raise these children by empowering them for success.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Tamayo

My classroom caters to three and five year olds who reside in Miami-Dade County. It is a free, special education inclusion pre-K program located in a public school. I teach both regular and special needs students. I teach in a Title I school where most of the students in the free/reduced lunch program. Most of my students speak languages other than English. My boys and girls love coming to school. They are eager to learn. Since all children learn differently, it is challenging to reach all of them.
