Getting Comfy and Cozy to Learn

It is with deepest gratitude that we thank all our donors for allowing us to enjoy the wobble chairs and the desk bands everyday!
Upon arrival the students unwrapped the boxes one by one and couldn't wait to put the wobble chairs together. The wobble chairs have become, and continue to be, a constant piece of furniture in our classroom they are continuously being moved in our classroom to be used as extra seating in our room. Even adults sit on them! The stools are generally used in small group. The flexible seating in the classroom is varied and offers the students a range of options in which to independently learn.
As for the bands, the bands are excellent for us as well! They are excellent for students who need to keep moving but need to stay at their desk, students who cannot reach the floor and need to keep their feet from dangling, and or students who need to bounce their legs gently to create a momentum when learning.”

The items chosen may seem random, however, I am working with limited supplies in my classroom. These items selected can and will enrich my students learning - a more hands on and efficient classroom. Also adding comfort to the classroom with a classroom rug creates warmth to the reading corner. Lastly, targeting some flexible seating for my students can aid in increasing their stamina while learning. For example, the projector will be helpful for students to show their work/models to other students. I can use the projector to show examples of work. This is one of my key ways to help students learn--immediate feedback. Modeling is a must for highly effective teaching. Thank you in advance for helping our school year be more successful.
