My students like to work around the room when we are learning and while they are working in small groups. We are out in a portable and the carpet in the room is old and dirty. Having a new rug would improve the quality of their day, my day, and make the room a more beautiful space to create. I like to have my students work on the carpet pretty often, especially when they are think/pair/sharing and when they need to do a brain break. We love to read on the carpet and have our morning crew time as well.
