  • Fabulous Book Series

    Funded Dec 13, 2024

I would like to take a moment to thank you for your support in my latest funding project.

This project yielded a class set of books for my students. One particular book was the third in a trilogy that my students have thoroughly enjoyed reading. After reading the first two in the set, the students begged for the final adventure of the series. Supporters like you have made this possible for them.

They recently participated in a book study of this book. It was a great experience for them, and they cannot wait to do it again.

Thank you again for your support.”

    With gratitude,

    Dr. McAdams

  • We Need to Print our Work!

    Funded Sep 19, 2024

I would like to thank each of you for the donations that supported my project, We Need to Print Our Work.

Since receiving this printer, life as a teacher has gotten easier for me. I am able to print color copies for my students. These include anchor charts, graphs, and art projects. I am also able to scan a paper for a quick copy right in my classroom.

Students can type up a paragraph and send it to the printer for sharing with the class. These small things have benefited my teaching immensely. Thanks again for your support.”

  • Preserving Our Projects

    Funded May 22, 2024

School has started for this new year, and we have put out laminator to excellent use!

My students created their own personal anchor charts for figurative language and theme which we are currently studying. We sent these through the laminator and now it is on their desk to refer to as needed.

We also used the colored paper to make an engaging bulletin board in our hallway.

The paper was also used to print vocabulary flash cards for students to use at home and at school for test preparation.

I am truly grateful for this asset to my classroom and my students are loving utilizing it.”

    With gratitude,

  • Interest Peaked!! Reading to Learn.

    Funded Dec 6, 2019

I would like to thank you for your recent donations of "The Wild Robot" and "Rump" to my classroom library. We are currently in the middle of reading the first one and my students love it. We complete a novel study when reading books of this length which means we investigate vocabulary, numerous skills, and comprehension.

My students were "over the moon" excited when their new books arrived. Some comments included, "I can't wait to read these," and "These are so cool."

These books have been very engaging for my students which is a feat at this age. One of the greatest benefits of these books is that they are nourishing their love of reading which is the biggest goal I (as their teacher) have for them!

Thanks again for your kindness and generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Dr. McAdams

In a classsroom, each child should feel that he or she has a special place in which to learn. These desks, which would replace old broken ones, would help my students to have a comfortable individualized spot for learning, giving them the freedom to take control of their own learning. These special fit, versatile desks will allow for a variety of classroom activities including independent work, group work, creative writing, art projects, or cooperative learning. I have no doubt that sItting comfortably in these desks, my students will feel empowered and know that they can accomplish anything they set their mind to!
