Having flexible seating can greatly increase a student's focus. Some seats are super for children with ADHD or kids who just need more movement. Students feel empowered by having some degree of choice and control over their environment. Flexible seating allows students to choose where they work and with whom. Flexible seating allows students to wobble, rock, bounce, lean or stand, which increases oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow and core strength. Flexible seating allows students to quickly and easily pair up, work in small groups, or discuss as a whole class, without causing a distraction in the classroom. Providing the students with access to flexible seating in the classroom, such as donut balls and exercise balls with stability feet, allow the students to physically become more comfortable while learning. Exercise also allow the student to move without getting up out of the hard, uncomfortable desk, they sit in. Also having stools in the classroom, makes it easier, when the teacher have to pull for small group. Having stools allow the student to move it to small group easily, without struggling to carry a heavy desk.
