These materials will help me be more mobile in how I give feedback, which is even more important this year. Help me be the best possible teacher for my students by allowing me to give feedback on the move. These resources will allow for more mobile, quick, and active feedback on student work. Research has proven that students NEED feedback quickly -- the longer the span between an assignment and a response to the assignment, the less likely students are to engage in that feedback and apply it to future work. By narrowing that time gap, I hope to allow students to be able to dramatically improve their writing skills. This technology will help me teach from home and back in the classroom, making it easier for me and for them to transition from virtual to hybrid and back. This year has presented unique challenges, but the biggest is giving feedback. The more easily I can access student materials, the more quickly I can give excellent feedback. I will be using these materials so that I can give feedback to my students as we move to hybrid. In the past, it was more possible to teach and have students move throughout the room; now, I need to be more mobile to protect my students' health. I envision using the iPad to travel to students and give feedback on their writing during conferences, monitor and respond to them during group work, and track participation during large group seminars.
