  • Books, Books, and EVEN MORE Books!

    Funded Jan 4, 2011

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. I'm so grateful every time a new box of books is delivered, and I get to see my students faces shine with excitement over new literature.

Your donation has truly transformed my classroom. Looking around the room, I now have a true library for my students. Students of all different reading levels can find something to read from Junie B. Jones, to Twilight to Louis Sachar books and Goosebumps. You have made this possible through your donation, and I am forever grateful.

Thank you again so very much. ”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Shapiro

  • Books, Books, and More Books-Book Sets!

    Funded Mar 1, 2011

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. I'm so grateful every time a new box of books is delivered, and I get to see my students faces shine with excitement over new literature.

Your donation has truly transformed my classroom. Looking around the room, I now have a true library for my students. They can pick out books from so many different authors and learn to fall in love with characters like Charlotte in Charlotte's Web, Junie B. Jones, Greg in Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Bella in Twilight and many others.

Thank you again so very much. I'm so grateful for you.”

    With gratitude,

  • Books, Books, and More Books, Even More Boxed Sets!

    Funded Dec 1, 2010

I cannot begin to explain how grateful I am for the books that you have supplied for my classroom. Take one step into my room, and you can immediately see their impact. The door opens, no students' heads turn as they are completely consumed by the book in front of them. They are actively reading, making faces, laughing, and, at times, crying.

I'm currently assessing my students reading levels. At the beginning of the year, most students in my 5th grade classroom were reading at a minimum of two years below grade level. Now, 5 months into the year, most students have already grown 1 year in their reading and are on track to meet our goal of two years of growth in one. The books you supplied helped that happen.

My students and I cannot thank you enough.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Shapiro

  • Classroom Sets of Books

    Funded Aug 15, 2007

Thank you so much for your contribution to this donation. I am so elated that I will be able to provide my students with these resources! We will begin by reading the Devil's Arithmetic and then move on to tackle the other books. Thank you so much again.

    Sincerely,

    Katie ”

I teach 5th grade readers. On average, they come in at a 3rd grade reading level. I have some students who come in never having read, spoken, or written English before. On the other hand, I have some students who read at an 8th grade reading level. I need a variety of books for my students to read.
