    The items that were purchased for my class has been a wonderful. The scholars have enjoyed reading and exploring. We have used the books to better understand character traits and main idea in stories. The scholars have shared that the characters seem to be like them. They see themselves in the characters even the settings of the stories remind them of their own life experiences.

    It is my plan to possibly act out one of the scenes or story's plot in my classroom. I want to bring the story to life on a stage so that other students may want to read the books we are reading.”

  • All I Do Is Read Read Read No Matter What

    The students in my class have been enjoying reading. They are more engaged and excited to read. Their interest level has grown and finding out about the lives of the figures they have read about has intrigued them in ways that hasn't happened before.

    We have rich dialogue about the book and some students are speaking of becoming writers. The responses that they have written in class about the books have been phenomenal and filled with many facts/details which has helped academic success in writing.

    Overall, these books have been the greatest gift we received so far this year. Thank you for your kindness and please don't stop supporting student achievement and reading awareness.”

    The students in my class were so excited to be exposed to new authors and books. Their world of reading has been changed forever. the boys in the class have been reading nonstop. They never knew that reading would be so exhilarating. The public figures they have read about has given them hopes of being able to follow in their footsteps.

    The girls in the class enjoy reading about people who seem to sound and look like them. The level of confidence that they have exhibited is remarkable. Please continue to be donors, because you are really needed.”
