My goal with this project is to focus on creating a reading environment within my classroom library that students can utilize on a daily basis. The classroom library gets a lot of "traffic" throughout the day as students are able to check out books during independent reading time. Their goal is to increase their reading stamina throughout the year while reading across a variety of texts and genres. A huge part of creating a reading environment relies on establishing an engaging and comfortable space for the students. In order to do this I would like to purchase a rug, some comfortable seating options, and bookshelves for this area. I'd love to give my readers a space to comfortably enjoy the reading process! :)
