By incorporating iPads into the library, I will be able to engage students and give them unlimited access to so many opportunities to strengthen their learning. For example, we will be able to utilize apps such as Duolingo, My Word Book, and Speaking Pal. I believe we will see huge gains in achievement and we will be able to break through the language barriers through the utilization of these apps. The iPads will be used every day and will give low-income ESL students access to new technology as an investment in their future. They will become better communicators. Students will not feel alone and isolated because they will have the tools necessary to start adapting to their new surroundings. I want to give all my students a change to achieve and firmly believe that the iPads will be the beginning of a new chapter for our students at our middle school.
