Past projects 9
Welcome to 6th
Funded Oct 11, 2023Thank you so much for the generous donations! My class was able to improve various areas in our hallways along with some classrooms! There is nothing that compares to entering a classroom or space where you feel welcomed, engaged and safe! This was made possible by people like you.
Bulletin paper aided in amazing visuals for our in class unit about yellow fever. We were able to have fun 'caution' tape up as well to add to the effect. Ha ha. Through colorful things like this students get excited to come into the classroom and are eager to learn about our new texts and projects.”

Funded May 3, 2021These past few years have been like none other. I know I am not the only one feeling the COVID effects still. My students are working on staying apart, while still collaborating and engaging in learning. I am trying my best to keep students connected and participating, all while trying to keep them away from one another and separate. This is a difficult balance. Thanks to donors like you, I am able to help define areas for students to work safely, from a distance. Thank you for protecting us in this difficult year.”

Funded May 4, 2021My students are OBSESSED with all of our diverse books! Each book has different cultures, different people, and different interests! I have had students begging to borrow the books. Some of my students were so invested in the "Ghost Boys" book that we even started a little book club to keep their interest piqued! Thank you so much for helping me purchase books my students WANT to read. These are new, colorful, fresh texts that they have not seen before. What a treat for them, and myself!
Thank you all for making this happen.”

Funded May 4, 2021Thank you so much for helping me purchase this pack for my students! I was able to apply the money toward a pdf copy of a year's worth of grammar skills to use in my classroom. This pack is amazing, it saves me so much time because it is pre-made! (and wayyyy prettier than anything I could ever make!) This is a great way to start off each day. The students know what to expect and it is a quick way to help check our grammar each day. Now we have a good structure to the start of our class.
Thank you !”

Funded Apr 2, 2021My students were thrilled to receive the Better Books package in the mail! They are so excited to dive into One Crazy Summer. Just the preview of the book got them hooked. This class set is perfect and ties into what we have been learning about the Civil Rights Movement. They are especially interested in the main character's mother, who works for the Black Panther Party. They can't believe the panthers aren't just from the movie! Our small group sets of the Little Rock Nine are perfect for meeting student needs, but will still allow us to study the same topic in class.”

Organization Amidst Chaos
Funded Feb 20, 2021Thank you endlessly for helping us organize our classroom and shared items! Thanks to items like tape, we have a colorful, cheerful way to help our students navigate safe spacing. This allows us to stay apart without looking like we're on a sad blue checkerboard! Items like the folder organizers allowed each of us to safely and securely leave our items and work in our classroom. Now we don't have papers everywhere! Thank you for helping us stay safe and organized. This has been such a hectic and chaotic year that we are grateful for any type of stability.”

Digital Resources at Home
Funded Nov 5, 2020Thanks to your generous donations to our classroom we were able to supply our students (and their families) with some tech at home! A lot of our students have siblings that are learning from home along with some family members as well. Thanks to items like our headphones we are able to help cancel out some distractions at home. In addition to supporting our students, we are also to help provide a better learning environment for everyone at home by preventing the noise from our class, from affecting any others. Thank you for everything!”

Hybrid Learning!
Funded Nov 10, 2020Thank you so much for the online funding we received for our 5th grade classroom. With shifting to online learning this year it has been difficult to adapt and shift all of our materials online. Thanks to your donation, we were able to purchase gift cards to the Teachers Pay Teacher website. Thanks to the website I was able to purchase some materials already adapted for digital use. This helps make my lessons and materials much more engaging and easier to understand for our 5th grade learners. Thanks!”

Safe School Year!
Funded Sep 6, 2020With all of your generous donations to our classroom project this year we were able to afford 28 individualized student pencil pouches! This allowed me to replace or substitute some of our commonly shared classroom items like the pencil sharpener, table bins with art supplies, shared class sanitizer and more!
Each student received a pencil pouch in a color of their choosing. We included a pencil sharpener, pencils, eraser caps, scissors, glue, colored pencils and a small hand sanitizer! Then we went ahead and added a fun name label to each of them :). Our kiddos have LOVED them and they have pretty much eliminated and chance of sharing supplies!
We were also able to purchase some cleaning materials which we use everyday at the end of the day to wipe things down and sanitize. Thank you!”

Ms. Schnebeck
