Let Us Print
Funded Nov 19, 2012Thank you so much for your contributions to my classroom. What a wonderful Thanksgiving surprise! We are currently on holiday break but I can't wait to get back to school so I can let my students know that this project has been funded.
One of the basic essentials that we teachers never want to be without is plain paper for printing. In a district like mine that has a low tax base, supplies are sometimes far down on the list of priorities. It is organizations like Donors Choose and caring donors such as yourselves who keep us going. For that, and on behalf of the wonderful kids I teach, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

Ms. Felder
Looking For Those Bare Necessities...
Funded Oct 7, 2012Thank you so much for supporting the children in my classes. I can't wait to go back to school on Monday and let them know that this project has been funded! They will be so excited!
Sometimes we don't think about the smallest of things making the biggest of impacts. But simply having the basic supplies for school can make all the difference in the world. Your generosity will also help make that difference, and for that, I thank you from the bottom of my heart, and on behalf of the fantastic kids you've help support.”

Ms. Felder

Funded Dec 31, 2011Once again, I must thank you for your gift to my class. My students have enjoyed being able to do work on the board with the markers you supplied for us. And the pencil sharpener is "awesome", as one student put it. Something as simple as a small blue light coming on to show that the pencil is sharp can totally fascinate the mind of a junior high age child. We've now gone through electric circuits in science class to understand how it works!
With the heavy duty hold punches, we have managed to finally organize our work and keep it that way. Not only can the students study more effectively, they will take the organization skills they've learned with them when they move on to high school. A win-win for all!!
Again, thank you for your generosity. It is very much appreciated”

Paper Roses
Funded Dec 31, 2011Thank you so much for your gift of much needed copy paper to my classroom. Because of your generosity, we are now in the last three weeks of school for this year and have not had to worry about running out of paper. My students have been able to complete projects, to take home work for independent studies, and take their tests to measure their achievement. (The students say they could have skipped the testing part!)
I have also been able to provide written progress reports to the parents, making sure they know how their children are progressing or where they may be having difficulties. This is especially invaluable for households where there is no phone service. Without paper on which to print these invaluable notices, communication between some parents and their child's teacher is challenging. Your gift definitely helped lower more than a few stress levels around here!
Again, I thank you for your contribution to my classroom. It is appreciated more than my feeble words can express.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Felder
The Great Divide
Funded Apr 22, 2011theHow nice it is to be able to put up privacy screens between students and work stations when there is a task to be done that needs a degree of privacy. I cannot thank you enough for your generous assistance to the children in my classrooms. Your generosity means more than mere words can possibly express!
In today's tough times, it is heartening for the students to see that there are still others out there who care enough about their fellow countrymen to support our local junior high. It not only has helped my students in their learning, it has taught them a life lesson as well: giving to help others is a good thing to do!
Thank you again for your support and generosity”

HP Quickpack for Quick Minds
Funded Apr 22, 2011Thank you so much for your support of the students in my classroom. Even in today's digital age, nothing can compare to a good old fashioned piece of paper sometimes. Because you cared enough to give to my classroom, I have been able to supply my students with what they need in order to learn and be successful in their educational endeavors.
At the junior high level, one of the key skills that child needs to learn is how to organized his/her notes and papers. Your contribution gave me the supplies I needed to help them develop that skill. It is an ongoing process, and because of your gift, we are able to carry on!
Thank you again for your generous contribution to my classroom. We appreciate it greatly!”

Ms. Felder

Funded Apr 22, 2011Words cannot begin to express the gratitude that I and my students feel toward your generosity. Your gift of notebooks to my classroom has made certain that no child in my class ever has to fall behind because of a lack of a basic supply for school - paper to write on!
I try to help my students develop skills in keeping their work organized, and having a notebook for each of the various subjects they take is a large step toward cultivating that skill. It is a great relief for a child to know that they have all their notes and handouts together and organized in one place. Simply stapling a handout into the notebook keeps it safely tucked in among the supporting notes. So when test time rolls around, there is no last minute scramble to find the material to study.
Again, than you for your generous gift.”

Funded May 20, 2011Thank you so much for your contribution to my classroom. When it comes to school work, something to write with is an absolute necessity. Even in today's age of digital everything, children still need to learn how to express themselves with an old-fashioned pencil!
Your gift of mechanical pencils - or "pencil pens", as the kids say - has made it possible for every child to come to class prepared to get down to work. It is heartening to know that no child will fall behind because of lack of basic educational supplies.
Again, thank you on behalf of my students. It is appreciated more than you can know.”

Funded Feb 11, 2011Thank you so much for your contribution to my classroom. And the timing was perfect! A day after the new printer arrived, my boss asked me to print standard testing answer sheets for every child in the school. This little workhorse did the job in nothing flat!
The kids are always excited when any new technology comes into the classroom. I find that they suddenly have all of these "emergency" needs to print something. It seems like every project and report came due within a day or two of the new printer arriving. Imagine that!
Again, thank you for your gift. It will make a world of difference in my classroom and I look forward to printing my own stuff on it! ”

Funded Feb 11, 2011Thank you so much for your more than generous gift. With the addition of this up-to-date technology to my classroom, I can plan lessons that reflect the 21st century and grab the attention of this visually focused generation.
I am enjoying the time I spend discovering all that this fantastic machine can do. Every day, at least one student asks me if I've got the new computer set up and ready to "unveil" yet. I have downloaded the last additional software that I need and plan to have the "grand unveiling" on Monday. The kids can't wait, and neither can I!
Again, I cannot thank you enough for your contribution to my class. It means more than mere words can possibly express, and will impact some eager little minds in more ways than you can imagine. Thank you so much!”

Ms. Felder
