Pop It toys have become popular these last few months. Upon looking into them, I discovered on several teacher sites that they are using these to teach multiplication and division! I was blown away and thought to myself, “ I must get these for my students!” The kids can make arrays ( rows and columns) using them as well as build shapes and determine the area and perimeter all while having fun! Playdough is great for strengthening fine motor skills. Students can use it to form their spelling words or for creating shapes. Playdough is a great resource to have for stress relief for students as well as for an activity for indoor recess.
