  • Starting off the 23-24' School Year!

    Funded Apr 6, 2023

Thank you for your generous donations that have allowed me to create a warm, inviting classroom that is well organized and managed. The students have all been provided with pencils, notebooks, folders, post-it notes, scissors, and other basic supplies on the first day of school. Color coding our folders for each subject has been a huge help and has made us super organized. Students all have a notebook for each subject and the tools to complete their assignments. I was able to use the tape and command hooks to mount their work around our classroom for display and to add labels to our book bins. Once again, thank you so much!”

  • Creating a Warm, Inviting Classroom

    Funded Jun 30, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donations that have all peeled me to create a warm, welcoming classroom for my students and I. Each year, my goal is to create a classroom in which students feel safe and comfortable learning, making mistakes, and growing academically. It is important to me that I am able to create a learning environment that motivates my students to learn and gets them excited about coming to school.

This project provided my students and I with some awesome things! My students are loving their large, colorful carpet which is located in our reading corner. Students enjoy browsing the classroom library and sitting on the card to read independently or with a buddy. We also use our calendar set daily to remind us of the date and any upcoming holidays and birthdays! Our students who have birthdays in October are super excited to see a birthday logo on their date! Other great supplies we received include motivational posters, bulletin board sets, a variety of other classroom decorations and accessories to make our room a fun, inviting, safe, and comfortable learning environment.

We greatly appreciate your generous donations in helping me to get this project fully funded!”

  • Amazing Resources for Our Classroom

    Funded Jun 1, 2023

Thank you so much for your support and believing in our classroom! Next year, our school district is adapting to a new literacy curriculum. The third grade teachers are meeting once a week to begin planning our lessons. We have been able to use the gift cards to purchase supplementary resources that will be used during our instruction. This has helped us tremendously to differentiate the content and process in which students will be learning foundational skills, vocabulary, reading comprehension skills and writing skills. We were able to purchase some engaging content for our students. .

We are forever grateful because donors like you make it possible for me to do my job effectively.Thank you for your contribution and making the world a better place!”

Research has shown that students make more positive gains academically when working in small groups. Students are placed in groups based on their readiness ability. This allows me to better meed their needs at their individual level. By having a variety of high-interest center activities for students to use independently, this will allow me to successful manage a classroom through rotations. In mathematics, the Power Pen resource will allow my students to increase their number fluency and self-monitor their work. In addition, students can use the resource to practice or review math skills covered during whole group instruction. In Literacy, students can practice annotating the text using dry-erase markers through a process known as close reading. This will help them master the Common Core State Assessments that will be administered during the Spring.
