My students will be able to build the shapes by hand. This manipulative tactic allows for easy molding of shapes and the ease of cutting the Rice Krispies at different angles to see the different shapes from cutting on a plane. When harden, the material is easy to use and fun to enjoy at the end of the project. The wax paper makes it easier to work on from the desk. Learning in such a way promotes fun in the course. This is very important when engaging this generation. They enjoy learning in ways that require a structured but relaxed atmosphere.
