Counting Hands in Kindergarten
Funded Sep 23, 2019My kindergartners were so excited to see what was inside the boxes when our packages arrived! I explained to them that some very generous people had donated the items to help them practice counting and learning math.
All of the items were a big hit with my students. They have been using them daily as part of our math centers time. The students love counting the ice cream scoops, the dinousaurs, and making patterns with the keys. They don't realize that they are acquiring fluency in counting while playing with these manipulatives. The Magnatiles are also a favorite center for many of the children. They use their imagination and work together to create structures using the various shapes included in the set.
Thank you so much for donating to my classroom and making it possible for my students to have these resources.”

Funded Sep 2, 2018Thank you so much for your donations that allowed my students to receive these awesome Seat Sacks! The children were so excited when the big box was delivered to our classroom. I labeled each seat sack with their name and explained that they were given to them by some very generous and thoughtful people.
The Seat Sacks not only look great in our classroom, but they are tremendously useful! The students are able to store their dry-erase boards and their reading book baggies in them. The children are able to get right to work without spending time walking to another area of the room to get these supplies. This has helped us become more organized and efficient!
Thank you again!”

Active Learning Is Our Goal
Funded Aug 24, 2017My kindergartners were very excited to see and use the materials we received. They just love to sit on the comfy floor cushions and read with a friend. Giving students an option of where to sit certainly makes reading more appealing. The stability cushion has also proven to be an effective seating option for my students that have trouble focusing.
During Center Time, my students love to play the Sight Word Swat game that was donated. The game keeps the students engaged and active while reinforcing the high frequency words I have taught in the past weeks.
My students and I would like to thank you all for your generosity. Your donations are greatly appreciated and are being used daily by some very happy Kindergartners.”

Funded Jul 25, 2017My Kindergartners were so excited when they saw all the boxes delivered to our classroom in September! I explained to them how several very generous people had donated these materials for our class to enjoy. The children were clapping with excitement as I opened each box and took out the building manipulatives.
Each day during Center Time, my students are engaged and enthusiastic about using the new materials to build structures together. They absolutely love the Keva wood planks! The set is large enough that 4-5 students can build together without any issues. The students also love the Brain Flakes and Wikki Stiks. They are designing animals and flowers and using their creativity to explore with the materials. But the most important thing about these materials is that my students are working together and talking to each other as they work. Language development is so critical for my English Language Learners, and these building materials that you have helped to bring into my classroom are giving my students another opportunity to develop those language skills.
My students and I thank you again for your generous donation!”
