"Get out your whiteboards, markers, and erasers," a phrase my students hear every day. Whiteboards and dry erase markers are used daily throughout instruction in my math class. Students use them to share ideas, write down thoughts, and solve problems. With the use of dry erase markers and boards, students are more engaged in the lesson and are more likely to attempt to solve the problem. Donating to my project supports student engagement and deeper understanding of mathematics which ultimately results in increased student achievement. The materials that I have chosen will help to ensure that students can use the whiteboard materials for the rest of the school year. My students love using them and couldn't imagine a classroom environment without them.
