Hello my name is Stephanie Moody. I teach Special Education grades K-4th in an economically disadvantaged community, which means every penny of funding is essential. I have 18 wonderful students that struggle to learn in traditional way.
Of these students 90% of them are from low-income household and many of which are single parent household.
My students have learning, emotional, behavior disorders, as well as several students on the Autism Spectrum. I have students of a varying abilities, each of my students are on different academic levels. All of my students work is individualized to target their specific needs.
In my class room students learn math, reading, writing, social skills, grammar, and receive help for other classes. This means that on occasion I have to reteach concepts they have learned in their regular education classes. This makes it imperative that I supplement their learning.
