I have been using flexible seating in my classroom for 3 years. I can see a difference in focus and learning; but also in ownership and responsibility of our classroom. As the years have gone by I am in need of more sustainable options for flexible seating. I have chosen durable and quality items to help create longevity of products. When children are given options in seating style and are uniquely considered in this way, I have seen improvement in engagement and motivation for learning. I have chosen wobble chairs for those students who need more activity while they learn. I've chosen sturdy stools for those children who like to be up a bit higher and leaning forward. I have chosen floor bean bags for those children who prefer to be on the ground and comfy while they work. Finally, I have chosen inflatable stability donuts for those who need comfort and activity. All of these considerations not only aid in learning, but help build a family community at school that supports all children's needs down to the last detail.
