Thank you so much for your wonderful display of generosity. My "At-Risk' students LOVE their new chess board! The Rubrix cubes are really great too, and they get used regularly, but this chess board is absolutely EPIC!

In addition to my "regulars", the program I run continually draws new students who for one reason or another are not on track towards success. I can not tell you how often I meet a new student who is very frustrated about one thing or another. Of course, I have several "tricks up my sleeve" to engage the students in a positive manner in an attempt to figure out a way for them to have a productive, fulfilling day of school. And with all my tricks, and all the different kinds of students with their different kinds of frustrations, a game of chess almost ALWAYS breaks down some seemingly impenetrable barrier.
