Lets Move Through Technology
Funded Aug 25, 2023The most exciting aspect for our students is the interactivity and the ability to see their movements projected, which makes learning dance and movement more enjoyable and effective.
Certain students have especially embraced this technology. For example, those who are more visually oriented or have a strong affinity for technology find it particularly appealing. It has also been beneficial for students who may have mobility challenges, as they can participate in a different way and still enjoy dance and movement activities.
Overall, the new projector has added a dynamic dimension to our teaching, enhancing engagement and inclusivity among our students.”

Funded Aug 2, 2023Students are actively engaging with the new equipment: they're using the bowling pins for target games, enjoying scooter relay races, expressing creativity with scarves through dance and movement, and competing in lively tchoukball matches.
The sight of the shiny bowling pins had them itching to test their precision and coordination by setting up impromptu bowling alleys. Scooters immediately drew their attention, and they wasted no time in organizing thrilling races that tested their balance and agility. The colorful scarves became instant props for creative expression, as students choreographed dance routines, adding a touch of artistry to their physical activities. The tchoukball nets, with their promise of team-based competitive play, had the students buzzing with anticipation, ready to engage in spirited matches. The newfound equipment injected a fresh wave of enthusiasm into their physical education, making each class a dynamic and engaging experience. These innovative additions have not only sparked excitement but also fostered skill development, teamwork, and a positive attitude toward staying active.”

Funded Oct 25, 2017My students love hockey during their physical education class. The new hockey equipment makes my classroom more inviting and engaging and has increased their level of fitness and participation. At my school I stress the importance of safety and I want make it enjoyable for kids, this is why I wanted to get rubber sticks. Rubber hockey sticks has allowed students to have fun while being safe during participation. Our students' lives have been improved by being healthier. There are statistics that show students that engage in physical activity ultimately do better academically. For example, my fellow teachers have mentioned that students after Physical education class are more energized than ever, which benefits other subject areas as well. Furthermore, the hockey sticks has been a great sport for students to participate in especially for those who never played the sport. Lastly, I have seen a dramatic change in engagement from students who normally do not participate. Students are excited to enter the gymnasium during hockey and look forward to playing their new favorite sport.”
