Our Class is the 5th grade Super Heroes. This is a 12:1:1 setting. The class is composed of 9 boys and 3 girls. Each students has special needs, which includes learning disabilities, as well as speech and language. The current expectation for 5th grade reading level is a Level T, however all of the students are reading far below grade level. For example, two students are reading at a level F. The students work hard and are eager to learn, but they face many challenges to meet the academic benchmarks of 5th grade.
