My hope with the current project and the donation of an iPad is to help me and my students with the transition from traditional pen and paper activities to a more technologically advanced, versatile, efficient, and effective therapy that is required in the current state of online distance learning. With the need for teletherapy currently, the ability to have access to a variety of materials for the large caseload of students I see is paramount. Having an iPad where we could download various applications would help me continue to see groups of children with varying disabilities at the same time while keeping their interests piqued. With an iPad, kids with speech impediments would be enabled to more efficiently learn speech sounds, those who are non-verbal would be given voices and it could help those who are unmotivated with the use of endless captivating reinforcers and educational resources. Regardless of if you're choosing my project, thank you for considering my application, and thank you for your generosity!
