I teach a multicultural classroom full of kids from various backgrounds. My school is a Title 1 school and we have free breakfast and lunch. I am very energetic and I believe that learning should be fun. My students know that in order for this to happen they must maintain respect for everyone. I love using Kagan cooperative learning structures and sheltered instructional strategies. We incorporate humor into every lesson, love into every activity, and excitement into every day! I buy dry erase boards for the students and they can even use dry erase markers on their desks! (they love that) I have covered my chalkboard with sheets of shower wall to make a homemade dry erase board. I love buying books and love giving them to kids too. I also bring in healthy snacks from time to time to introduce them to new things. They've had (some---for the first time ever)): raspberries, starfruit, Ugli fruit, and edamame.
