I would love to implement flexible seating in my classroom! This provides the students with a chance to feel absolutely comfortable in our classroom at all times. How do you think students would feel if they were given a chance to pick what type of seating they would like to sit in the 8 hours they're at school? I can tell you from a first-hand experience, they absolutely love it. There is something about giving a child the opportunity to decide where they're going to learn. Not only does it provide more comfort, but it also helps engage them. Even though it seems like a small part of the classroom experience, the type of a seating a child sits it can definitely motivate them and support their learning. Some of the seating options you're purchasing provide some of my kiddos the chance to get the wiggles out, by allowing them to move around more freely. The stools will be utilized when I'm teaching reading and math small groups, which is often the most important and crucial part of the day. I implemented flexible seating last year and my students loved it. I would love to be able to provide them even more seating options. As I previously mentioned, the more choices I give my students, the more receptive they are to learning the challenging content I present them. This project is extremely impactful because it's a tool we use all the time. This will also teach my students to be tolerant towards one another with sharing supplies.
