  • IPADS for Research Groups

    Funded Mar 27, 2020

WE GOT FUNDED!!! Thank you. We will be able to provide our students with devices during this season of social distancing and will use this after we return for deeper learning and research. Your donation will allow our students to be prepared for the advancement of technology and encourage learning beyond the classroom. THANK YOU!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Harrison

  • Help Us With Create Our Classroom News Podcasts

    Funded May 13, 2019

We would like to thank you for helping us. Your donations are greatly appreciated and will help us give our students an applicable way for them to learn reading and writing skills. The students will use the Surface Pro 6 to record and edit podcasts to share with the school community.

Our students are active on sites like YouTube and Spotify where they watch videos and podcasts daily. This program will help students transition from consumers of content to creators of content while developing the skills they need to be academically successful.

We look forward to starting this again in the next school year and it is made possible by all of you who have given to this project. Thank you so much.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Harrison

  • Help Our Students Go Digital.

    Funded Apr 11, 2018

Your donation helped our students explore learning using technology. Our students engaged in research projects, reading stories and even some computer science through learning coding for elementary students. We found that the students responded to learning through technology more effectively than using paper and pen. Your donation opened our student's eyes to the possibility of using technology to learn and not just for entertainment. Thank you so much for your donation and our students are better for it.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Harrison

The Chromebooks we are requesting will help the students access online learning content and will help the students declutter their classroom by making 90% of their assignments available on their Chromebooks. Exposure to technology will give our students an opportunity to decrease the learning gap they experience with students from higher income communities by exposing them to learning based technology. Technology is something our students are interested in, and it is our goal to design lesson plans that incorporate technology and the use of the Chromebooks. The students will be able to use the Chromebooks to complete assignments, conduct research, and explore the world at their fingertips.
