  • Engaging Second Grade Environment

    Funded Aug 14, 2022

Our new library materials have been such a beneficial addition to our classroom this year. My 2nd graders and I have loved having an expanded library to explore books with and build interests. They are always excited to browse through the displays for our guided reading stations and "Drop Everything and Read" time at the end of the day. Thank you for putting smiles on all of their faces with these new resources. Our classroom atmosphere has improved and all of the students are very eager to continue using these and reading throughout the new year.

    I really appreciate your support!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Harbaugh

  • Getting "Booked" Up in 1E

    Funded Nov 11, 2017

Our new books have been a huge hit in the classroom. Not only have students been more motivated to read, but I've also seen them working together to read pages. It's very exciting for them to make connections between these new, popular titles, and the titles they see out in the world, which get them even more eager to read. Having variety and better options in the library, allow for the students to be even more ready to learn throughout the day.

Again, we love our new books and want to thank you for your generosity!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Harbaugh

  • Flexible Seating: A Classroom Game Changer

    Funded Jul 11, 2017

My students and I are already on our 3rd week of school and are using the items you contributed to on a daily basis. From the very first day, everyone has been motivated to begin their day and pick a spot where they can do their very best work. These flexible seats add personality to our classroom and make it feel even more like another home.

From morning work , to independent reading, to desk work, nothing hold the class back from completing a task. They feel more comfortable throughout the day and enjoy being able to make independent choices.

Your generosity has allowed me to turn an idea into a positive game changer in the classroom . The students and I can't thank you enough! I hope you enjoy the pictures of them choosing some of their favorite spots.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Harbaugh
