  • Creating Math Magic!

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

The students absolutely LOVE when the office calls and OUR package has arrived!! We unbox together and the room was filled with "awwwws and yes!" They were so excited to have some new games to work on.

Station and small group time has never been so enjoyable!! These games help promote positive educational conversations, healthy disagreements, and of course friendly competition.

The students not only play the games but they completely facilitate it. They have to either find or create any additional resources. They are tasked with taking charge of their learning and they LOVE IT!!

    Thank you so much”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Brown

  • Making Math Fun!

    Funded Aug 14, 2019

It was amazing to see and hear the excitement in my scholars voices and faces when we opened the box that contained their "math goodies". They said " we're going to have so much fun in Math". As a teacher it warms my heart to know that my students are actually enjoying the learning process. And the icing on the cake is while they are "having fun" they are utilizing unique ways to retain the information.

We use the material in a variety of ways: classroom stations where the students facilitate and play the games on their own. This allows independence and makes them feel extremely proud to master information "without the teacher". We also play whole group games and challenge each other to get the answers. I love watching them encourage each other to get the answers.

I cannot express how grateful we are for your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Brown

It’s important to provide station activities where students can explore, communicate, and demonstrate what they have learned in creative ways. Many students learn by application and many times they don’t realize what they have learned because they’re having too much fun. It is equally important for teachers to provide variety so that each scholars learning style is addressed. Students become more excited about school and the educational process when they enjoy what they are doing so why not incorporate what they enjoy most to ensure they are comprehending the information. This ensures that ALL students are successful, happy and productive.
