Sound Off For Learning
Funded Jan 28, 2022Thank you so much for helping to provide headphones to my students. It has impacted their learning greatly! Using these headphones, they've been able to listen to directions and learn during independent learning activities which include coding, math exploration, reading instruction and art activities
My students have loved and appreciated having reliable headphones to use in class. Before receiving these headphones, they were using cheaper earbuds and such, which broke often or would not consistently work.
Thank you, again. Your generosity has made a huge difference in my students' learning.”

Funded Jul 17, 2017Thank you so much for donating so we could get a class set of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. We have read the book together, and the impact of your donation is astonishing.
My students were enthralled with the book. Whenever it was time to read, they would cheer! This is not always the case for kids and reading, but having such an exciting book made all the difference. Because of your donation, and the chance we had to read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, one student said, "I used to hate reading, but now I read for fun!" Another stated, "This book inspired me to read the whole series." I am incredibly grateful that we were able to start the year off with such a great book, which led to the students' new found love of reading.
In addition, we were able to discuss and practice many literacy strategies. We were able to understand characters better, practiced how to summarize, worked on our questioning, and made meaningful connections. In addition, the students ended the book study by creating their own newspapers, modeled after the newspaper in the book, and they practiced some of the strategies previously discussed.
The donations we received impacted the lives of my students. For that, I thank you.”
