  • Building Up Our Kindergarten Classroom

    Funded Jul 23, 2019

A lot has changed since the beginning of the school year, I have moved from Kindergarten to 3rd grade but rest assured the supplies are still being put to good use!

The copy paper and colored paper help out in the classroom, making homework packets, study packets, and worksheets that are completed during our school day! The hooks are used to hang anchor charts throughout the room to help reinforce what we are learning. And the broom and wet mops are helpful to clean up our floors at the end of the school day!

I thank you from the bottom of my heart of the love and support you show not just my students but to me as well.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Sloan

  • Games To Help Us Learn!

    Funded Jul 23, 2019

Thank you for your amazing generosity and continued support for me and my students, it is always greatly appreciated. In the beginning of the year I was switched from Kindergarten to Third grade and thought that these games would not be relevant in my classroom anymore. But to my surprise (and sadness) some of these games can still be played with lower level students. I have them play the games on a laptop now instead of in a whole classroom situation. The results are still the same, there are looks of happiness and pride on their faces when they win. So even though I have been placed in a higher grade level the games are relevant.

    Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Sloan

  • Erasers, Pencils, and Paper... Oh My!

    Funded May 13, 2019

Thank you for your amazing generosity to my classroom. You have made a huge impact in our classroom and in my students lives. They can come to school without having to worry about having a pencil or an eraser to complete their work for the day.

The paper is in constant use by printing out worksheets for them to practice what they are learning, for homework, for letters home to their parents, and for coloring sheets when we need a few minutes to unwind after our day of hard work.

Anchor charts are being created with the chart paper to remind the students about the lessons that we have worked on and helps them build their confidence as they work towards becoming independent learner.

Again, I thank you for your support of me, my students, and our classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Sloan

  • First Grade Learners Need Some New Tools

    Funded Dec 31, 2018

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continued support of me and my students. The supplies are being used on a daily basis. The wipe pockets have saved us from constantly making copies they are able to take their dry erase markers and complete the center and then erase it so that someone else can work on it the next day. Pencils I go through pencils so quickly in our room, they have truly been a life saver.

The partition storage rack is helping me to get my classroom organized! The children were most excited to play the games that are uploaded on to our Smartboard! Our Fridays are spent playing games to reinforce everything that we have learned during the week and it is helping them all tremendously! Some concepts they weren't able to get until we put on the game.

My students are thriving in their classroom thanks in part to your generosity.”

  • Learning Tools for Our Future Leaders.

    Funded Sep 5, 2018

The smile that came across my students faces when I told them about the wonderful supplies that we're coming to our classroom was absolutely priceless.

The colored paper serves us well when I need to send home notes that I have to make sure grab the attention of their parents right away. The crayons, pencils, erasers, and glue sticks are used everyday and greatly appreciated! The case of paper has been put to good use by printing out the worksheets that we use in class and extra things to go home and reinforce their daily lessons.

The interactive phonics game is a weekly activity that they enjoy they really get into it and love when they get something right because they can't wait to see what "magic spells" get cast on the other teams! The privacy partitions are helping the students learn how to work independently!

Thank you for your generosity and continued faith in me.”

  • Help Us Get A Cricut in the Classrom!

    Funded Jan 26, 2018

Thank you for your kind and thoughtful donation to my classroom. You donation will not only help out in my classroom this year but for many years to come.

I enjoy creating a loving environment for my students and this will make decorating our classroom easier for me. I will be able to create name tags to help identify the children's cubbies and pencil boxes easily. It helps me create anchor charts that will enhance their learning easily.

And it helps me to create phonics and math games which the kids love to play. They are learning and having fun while doing it and it is all because of your generous donation. I wholeheartedly thank you.”

  • Help Our Room Get Through the Winter!

    Funded Jan 4, 2018

Thank you for the support that you have given my classroom!! Cold and flu season has hit our area so having tissues for their noses and sanitizing wipes to clean their desks are life savers!!! Everyone knows that students will make messes, we eat breakfast in our classroom so I'm sure you can imagine that there are some spills that happen the paper towels make sure that clean up is quick and that is important in our classroom.

The children are excited to go to Daily 5 everyday and work on their phonics skills with the Phonemic Awareness games and puzzles. When I showed them the multicultural crayons they were ecstatic! They eagerly await the opportunity to color a person that they can identify with. The book, "The Bad Seed" is helping the children understand that just because they might have a bad moment it doesn't have to define the rest of their day.

Paper is used every day to print out worksheets, homework, and games that reinforce what we are doing throughout our school day.

Our class has an early lunch so the Goldfish crackers help us get out of the afternoon slump and continue with our studies.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Sloan

  • Our Future Leaders Need the Proper Tools to Thrive

    Funded Dec 14, 2017

The look on my student's faces when they saw the packages come in was simply priceless. They are overjoyed at the amount of resources that are in our room knowing that so many people believe in them and want them to have everything necessary to ensure that they will thrive in school.

The tissues will especially come in handy during the cold/flu season. And the ink cartridges will be able to to ensure that I am able to print out any worksheets for the students and now we have extra pencils to complete our work.

In our classroom we are working on learning about socio-emotional development and the books "My Mouth Is A Volcano" and "Decibella And Her 6-inch Voice" are helping with that! The books on tape, will fit in nicely in our Listening Center and the upper and lower case alphabet phonics game will help the students during their Daily 5 activities. This year we are also focusing on Growth Mindset! The books: "The Most Magnificent Thing", "What To Do With a Problem", and "Rosie Revere Engineer" show the kids that it is okay to make a mistake that shows that we are learning.

Thank you again for all of your support of not only my students but of me!!! We greatly appreciate all you”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Sloan

  • Our Room Is the Place to Be!

    Funded Jul 20, 2017

Everyday my kids would walk into the classroom with a new surprise waiting for them. To say that they loved it would be an understatement. The laminating machine and laminating pouches make it possible for our class to reuse games and centers that they love doing and that helps reinforce all of the things that we are learning throughout the day.

Daily 5 Centers are a big thing in our classroom! All of the kids run over to the chart to see where they will be headed first thing in the morning. They love spending time doing Word Work activities with the stamps and inkpads. They excitedly build their words at the station. And now with new books on tape, the kids are able to hold a book and follow along with the words that are being read to them.

Hands on learning is big in my classroom, the dry erase markers help us to do that. I write math equations on their desks and the students spend time at the beginning of our lesson collaborating and solving the problems. These little markers have helped to build our room into a strong family.

Thank you for all of your kind and generous donations! Thank you for helping me build my classroom into a safe place for learning for all of my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Sloan

  • Our Room Is The Place To Be!

    Funded Jul 18, 2017

Thank you for all of your generosity! My students were so excited to see all of the great supplies that your donations brought into our classroom. Many of them compared it to Christmas morning. As you can imagine, many of them race to see who can lay on the beanbag chairs to read during our Daily 5. And I love that every student has a dry erase marker to use during our assignments. We quickly figured out that you can write on your desk with them and that has been a fun way for us to complete our Math lessons.

The books on tape are being used every day and the children have all agreed that they love when someone reads to them it makes the story feel more alive to them. I really have to pull them out of the corner so that all of the students get a chance to listen to the stories.

I'm sure that you can imagine that supplies like pencils, crayons, markers, glue sticks, and scissors get used multiple times throughout the day. There isn't an assignment that we do that the students aren't asking if they can use the markers and crayons to draw and color. You have sparked the imaginations of 25+ students and even sparked the imagination of of one slightly stressed teacher!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your love and support.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Sloan

One thing I learned in student teaching is that pencils are like gold in a classroom, you can never have enough. Also if you want to use something again, laminate it!! I have added some basic classroom supplies to my list. Your generous donation will allow me to spend money on other things for my classroom like: curtains, beanbag chairs, and other decorations. My students will come into school everyday knowing that they will be able to participate with every project in our class. The magnetic letters will be used during one of our Daily 5 centers, they will have books to listen to on tape, and stamps to help them with letter and word recognition. By laminating the activity sheets, the students will be able to them throughout the entire school year. I want my classroom to be a place that my kids are excited to come to everyday! I never want a child to feel uncomfortable because they don't have a pencil to use! When they are properly prepared, they will be eager to learn!
