The ideas of how to put an iPad to work in our school are flowing! I'd love to be able to integrate a behavior app that rewards positive choices into my daily routine. Our district is wanting us to move to a more technology savvy way of documenting and rewarding behaviors in our school; therefore, an iPad is essential. Our district does not accept personal devices on our district wifi, and a donated iPad (that is the school's) will be a perfect way to get us live and streaming! We all know kids love the technology, so let's make my classroom even more technologically integrated! I see a Classroom iPad being extremely influential in supporting our school wide positive behavior program. The district provided computer does not provide easy access to me or my students, nor does it support traveling around school. It can be cumbersome, clunky, and not easy to use. An iPad can help me recognize and reward students that are showing awesome behavior, document behaviors that are negative, interact with my students and their families in a fun and interesting way, provide positive breaks for kids who are caught being good, and bump up the communication with families to match the times and help conserve paper resources. Parents appreciate this immediate communication throughout the day with important reminders and notices about their student's learning and classroom information.
