    Funded Dec 4, 2023

Thank you so much for your donation and making this project happen! The headphones have been such a great addition to our classroom. They are very high quality and my students love how comfortable they are.

My student's learning experiences have been greatly enhanced by the addition of headphones with microphones. They are now able to practice speaking in English using the microphones and the sound quality has been really fantastic. It is so important in a classroom of newcomer English Language Learners that all students have numerous, authentic opportunities to apply their English skills. These headphones have allowed for my students to do this type of work and I am very grateful! That you again for improving our classroom and supporting the English Language Development of English learners. We are all so appreciative of your donation!”

  • Diverse Authors

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

Thank you so much for your kind donation! Because of you the classroom library my students select and read books from has been greatly enhanced. All of the books that were ordered as a result of your donation are written by authors of color and are centered around characters of color. In my classroom, my students have a range of different backgrounds, cultures and identities. My students need to see the themselves represented in the books they are reading. This is equally as important as them having books that are just right for their reading levels. All of the books purchased as a result of your donation are books that are just right readers and will be used by my students to practice the reading skills they have been learning. • First Grade Learning Supplies

    Funded Jul 12, 2021

Thank you very much for your contribution to this project! Every year, students need so many supplies in order to have a successful school year. Because of you my students now have scissors, glue sticks, folders, crayons and markers that they can use throughout our learning day. Without your support, many of these learning supplies would have to be paid for by myself. As a teacher, this financial burden is significant, which is why support from you is so incredibly meaningful! My students and I are grateful for the ways you have helped improve our classroom.”

Hello! I am newly out of college and starting my second year teaching in an urban public school! As a first year teacher, I am just starting to develop my classroom resources, supplies, and library. This year I will be teaching 1st grade with a classroom of 25 students. The student population is majority low-income, with a large population of English Language Learners and immigrant families. Our classroom space is small and I am looking to make the most of it! I want all students to feel safe and comfortable in their classroom community through the creation of different sensory spaces for students to take a break from the typical classroom setting. Furthermore, I am hoping to build a meaningful classroom library for my students to develop a sense of love of reading in our classroom. All help is welcomed and appreciated by both myself and my students! Thank you!
