  • Basic Supplies for Extraordinary Learners

    Funded Aug 30, 2019

    Getting these supplies donated this year was really a blessing! Very few of my students were able to afford supplies this school year. With this donation, I was able to provide my students with an abundance of pencils, crayons, colored pencils, and glue sticks. This took a lot of angst of feeling unprepared, away. My students know that if they need any of these supplies, to just ask. It is such a weight lifted off of their shoulders. It is also so wonderful for me to have these supplies readily available, and to not have to worry about purchasing them for all of my students. Thank you so much! This donation of "basic" supplies will take us through the year and help us make it super successful!”

  • Flexible Seating and Cozy Options

    My children use these fun, cozy seating options the most during reading. They love to find a spot in the room and read a great book, especially on Flashlight Friday!

    These amazing resources are also used to help my students calm down and take a minute. We have created a great calming area and the children know they can "cool off" and relax when they get overwhelmed or need a break.

    It also gives them options and allows them to work comfortably. The children love these amazing seats and it makes our cozy corner perfect!”

Having ten tablets in the classroom will be such an amazing way to keep the children engaged. They will be able to improve their reading and practice their math skills in a fun way. These tablets will help with grouping and also give me an opportunity to monitor the children's progress. My students learn in many different ways. Learning through games is an amazing way to instruct the students and have them practice basic skills, while having fun. There are so many ways I can asses what the children know, using technology. Having tablets is such an asset and will keep the children engaged, while having fun, and learning new material. Additionally, they will be able to reinforce skills learned. I can also monitor progress and assist the children through all of the wonderful technologies we will have access to. This addition to the classroom will keep the children wanting to learn and further improve the love of learning.
