Thank you so much for your support! Because of you my students were able to get materials to create their PBL to benefit the community. We focused on How can our cultural differences contribute to sustaining a community that provides cost effective healthy food options for all? "As young community activists we understand at our age that we have a voice that can make a change in our community and the world around us.
Through our community research and work about Food Injustice, we learned that we can work together to make a change that will support our culturally diverse community" theses were some of the comments from the students. They were able to integrate their own culture to their projects.”

Please help support curious future environmental scientists in a Second grade classroom in a high poverty community. My students are not exposed to many things. I would like to provide my students the opportunity to learn and experience environmental science using hands on in centers. The centers I am requesting that will help my students use hands on would be the, Geoworld Bug's World Collection of 10 Real Insects to learn about life cycles of living organisms. The materials are designed to provide a variety of hands-on learning experiences. In addition the insect Lore Live Butterfly Growing Kit combines hands on experience, inquiry, investigation about the growing cycle of insects. My students will become very excited for this experiment. Also the insect Lore Ladybug Growing Kit will provide hands on for curious environmental scientist that are supported through Tom's Of Maine Impact on environmental science projects. Also the Macbook will help us watch video and use apps that will help us learn more about the the living environment for those students that need the prior experience knowledge to gain regarding the environment. Using apps such as BrainpopJr, ABC Kids, National Geographic for Kids, and many more with the help of a laptop will be an exciting experience for my students. Please help us get materials to be successful and learn through new experiences about the living environment.
