Science Magazine Subscription!
Funded Aug 12, 2021Thank you again for supporting my students and providing them with Science World magazines! My favorite aspect of Science World is that the articles show students how the science concepts we learn in the classroom apply to real-life. For example, the 6th grade learned about weather patterns. In Science World, there was an article about severe weather, and the students could analyze the article using their knowledge.
When my students see that there is a new issue in, I do not need to prompt them to start flipping through the magazine. The magazines have also shown students how science relates to everything from video games to sports. I am so grateful for your donation to increase science literacy in my class.”
With gratitude,

This classroom project was brought to life by Bill Gates and 6 other donors.Class Whiteboard for Instruction!
Funded Sep 4, 2021Having additional board space allows me to write additional instructions, share announcements with students, or even draw a diagram to help explain a concept. These whiteboards have been an invaluable resource to our class, and we use them daily.
When the whiteboards arrived, my students were excited to have something functional to cover up the beat-up chalkboard. It is also much more eco-friendly to use the whiteboards over anchor chart paper to announce what the schedule is for the day. The boards have helped us jump right into classwork, since students know where to look and that the board will provide next steps.
My 6th grade students are working to create electrical energy from wind power, and my 7th grade students are exploring the human body. The whiteboards you donated will continue to supplement their learning. Thank you so much for such a valuable donation!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Koga
