George Hall Elementary is an inner-city elementary school located in Mobile, Alabama. My classroom is comprised of nineteen five and six year old students from this community. While a few of the students attended pre-k and daycare, for many of the students this is there first time being in an educational setting. The students come from an abnormally high rate of poverty and single-parent homes. Despite all of the circumstances, my students have an excitement and zest for learning new things and I always acknowledge and appreciate their hard work.
