  • Learning in Color

    Funded Apr 24, 2025

Thank you so much for donating to my project! I am excited to be able to print in color for my students! This also comes in time for our school's science fair and now I can add color to our poster board presentation! We will be changing a liquid to a solid!”

  • Laminate Materials for Reuse!

    Funded Nov 4, 2024

Thank you for donating to this project and supporting my class. The laminator has already been put to use!

The first thing I did was print out and laminate a digital A-Z book about different buildings that went along with our architecture unit! Now that it is laminated, I can leave it in a book basket that my students can access everyday and I do not have to worry about it being mishandled or ripped!

I also used the laminator to laminate real leaves for our science unit about leaves. This allowed the students to participate in multiple activities where they could observe, compare, and sort leaves. It was wonderful to hear the students describing the leaves as well.

Thank you again and I can not wait to reuse these materials with other classes in the future!”

  • Color Ink for T.K.

    Funded Aug 25, 2024

Thank you again for donating color ink to my classroom. With it I have been able to print engaging pictures to be used as conversation starters, vocabulary cards and even a self made book about the buildings in Guatemala for our architecture unit. A lot of what I print goes up on the walls and it also makes our classroom environment more colorful and warm.

I think the students are most fond of the family pictures I was able to print and make a collage with so that they can see their families throughout the day or when they are feeling sad and missing them.”

  • Color Makes Learning Easier!

    Funded Nov 10, 2023

Thank you for donating to my project "Color Makes Learning Easier!" Schools are supplied with black and white printers but teachers rarely have access to color ink. This is hard when we are trying to show students what objects really look like and have them describe it accurately.

Your donation allows me to print pictures or I like to make vocabulary cards in color. This allows my students to see the objects as they are meant to be seen and can have better understanding of what they are learning about.”

  • Learning in Color!

    Funded Apr 29, 2022

Thank you so much for donating to my project, Learning in Color! Color ink is hard to come by at our school but it is so needed to help engage students in learning. Students observations are so much more impactful and meaningful when they can see what something is in the color that it is meant to be in. The color ink has helped my create new vocabulary cards to go with our new curriculum and new read a louds. They help me during daily message to make comparisons, and go up on our picture word wall.”

  • Color Ink Helps Us Learn About the World!

    Funded Nov 15, 2021

Thank you so much for donating to my project! Our youngest learners are more easily engaged when they can see pictures with colors and we can have deeper conversations about the details. My school only provides teachers with a black and white copy machine which is great for making copies of handouts. However, my students need more vocabulary development and black and white pictures don't spark as much conversation. I use the color ink to make vocabulary cards that correlate with the books that we are reading. I put them up on the walls so they can refer to them while they are in centers. I also use the ink to print pictures of them in class to add to our visual schedule! Thank you again for helping make their learning more engaging!”

  • Safe and Comfortable P.P.E. for TK!

    Funded Aug 11, 2020

Thank you so much for donating to my project, Safe and comfortable PPE for TK. We are still not back in the classroom because the amount of positive cases are still really high in our area.

However, I have shared with the kids over Zoom how they have some comfortable PPE waiting for them when we do return. They were excited to learn this and more than happy to make some thank you drawings. Many of the parents also expressed their gratitude and mentioned how it relieved them to know that their children would have some comfortable PPE to wear.

Once again, thank you for helping me keep our school community safe.”

  • Brand New Backpacks

    Funded Jul 3, 2019

Thank you for taking the time to read about my project and donate to it. The backpacks came in a range of beautiful colors that the children loved! They were very excited to get to pick one out! Choice is very important at this age!

The parents were also very grateful that their child was given a backpack and have been very responsible in making sure that their child is bringing the backpack to school everyday. The backpacks are also very sturdy and will most likely be able to be used for several years. Thank you once again for donating to my project and helping provide this basic necessity for school.”

  • Quenching TK Thirst

    Funded Aug 8, 2019

Thank you so much for donating to Quenching TK thirst! The water bottles are awesome and the kids are loving them! They were very helpful the first couple of weeks of school when we started with a heat wave! The kids were excited to be able to use the hydration station and refill their bottles once they ran out.

I was also able to talk to the students about reducing single use plastics. We watched a video on the plastic floating in the ocean and talked about how our bottles will not end up there. We ended our talk with a march around our school for climate change! Once again I am very grateful for your support!”

  • Hear It! Sing It! Learn It!

    Funded Jun 18, 2019

Thank you for donating to my project it; Hear It, Sing it, Learn it! It has been so exciting to be able to use the wireless speaker in the classroom. We have used it to learn our song of the week, months of the year, days of the week, counting, and shapes in English and Spanish! The kids love singing the songs and are getting more and more confidence everyday! We have also used it to learn the ABC song, sing Happy Birthday to our friends and listen to books that have online audio! Yes, they like to hear me make silly voices when singing and reading but it is always something special to have another person sing or read it as well. The volume on it works really well, and I can adjust from my phone or computer as they are singing.

Once again, thank you so much! I love hearing the kids singing along excitedly!”

My students need a color printer with ink, paper, and extension cords, so that I can provide colored visuals of key vocabulary words and content concepts. I had the great opportunity of attending a Be Glad training this summer. In this training I learned a plethora of strategies to help my students acquire language for any content area (science, social studies, math, etc.). One of the most important components was the need to provide colorful visuals. Students will view, describe and explain pictures. The colored pictures will be used to support the Be Glad strategies which allow the students to analyze the new material. This will allow them to engage and retain the new information and not only raise their oral production, but reading and writing skills as well!
