My students are eager to learn and engage with their peers, however, most of my students are limited due to their socioeconomic status. My students come from a high poverty, low-income households, but they are the sweetest, kindest, eager to learn students that you will ever meet. Given a challenge, my students work individually and cooperatively with their table groups in order to meet and conquer the challenge given to them. I work in a school that has a high percentage of ELL students and where over 90% of our student population qualifies for free lunch, regardless, my students continue to amaze me time and again with their maturity, their determination and perseverance in learning all they can during their time in 3rd grade.
