For the past five years, I have taught a robotics class at my school using LEGO Mindstorms. The primary goals of the class are to help students develop programming skills and encourage collaborative problem solving. This year, a parent told me that she has noticed her son coming out of his shell more and that she credits the robotics class. This made total sense to me. The team approach to solving problems combined with the hands-on work creates a very supportive environment for personal growth to take place along side academic growth. My students need a more advanced program kit to take their skills to the next level. This particular set includes several challenges based around space exploration themes. I know my students will love it!
