Here or There Kindergarten Loves Art Anywhere
Funded Oct 22, 2020We are so grateful to have the art materials we need to learn from home, thank you.
Our art lessons this year have been unique and unconventional--yet joyous and filled with laughter. The students love participating in the directed draws I purchased with the gift card from TPT. They provide a perfect amount of challenge and simplicity, allowing the students to feel successful in their art.
Our colored, fast-drying clay has been a huge hit and is often requested in the classroom! The children cannot wait to embark on the next art lesson. I have been able to assemble their artwork into slides which give them pride to see their work nestled among the artwork of their friends.
Thank you for bringing color and creativity to my sweet students. I appreciate your generosity, kindness, and love of education beyond words.”

Funded Aug 18, 2020Thank you for your donation to our classroom! Our classroom community is so strong and supported, in part because we have these tools that give all students a voice and ownership of our community.
The whiteboards and markers have provided the tools necessary for my students and I to stay connected even through remote instruction. As I host virtual lessons, our individual whiteboards provide an opportunity for my students to demonstrate their learning from home—communicating their growth and needs. These whiteboards allow me see my students--their personality, humor, and understanding of a topic.
The large monitor screen has been equally valuable acting as my window into my students' virtual space and our main means of communication. What an amazing gift you have given to us! I appreciate your generosity, kindness, and love of education beyond words.”

Funded May 6, 2020What a relief to have received the set of Wonder books! The class set was loaned to a group of students who could not afford to purchase the books, and without your generosity would not have had equal access to our learning.
I loved seeing the joy and excitement on the students' faces as we worked through the novel. We had deep and meaningful discussions on the importance of kindness, acceptance and compassion for others. These books enhanced our learning more than one could imagine.
In an already difficult time, having a novel as our anchor, and connection source, allowed my students and I to extend our sense of community. The novel was a huge part of the successful remote learning carried out in our classroom. Thank you to for your generosity and obvious love of learning.”

Funded Jan 1, 2020What a wonderful opportunity for my students to build, create and design with these magnatiles! They have not only enhanced the students STEM lessons but they have promoted team work and collaboration skills in our fourth grade classroom.
The week these manga tiles arrived it was a wet and rainy indoor recess type week and the children squealed in delight when they saw our new classroom set. About 8 students dumped the pile on the floor and instantly began building, collaborating and designing elaborate constructions. When I brought over the wheels they were in awe that their creations could now be automobiles! What fun it's been watching them.
Thank you so much for this opportunity and for giving my students such a great and productive means of design and play. We really cannot thank you enough and please know that your donation will enhance our classroom and future classrooms for a long time.”

Booking It to Our Book Club!
Funded Oct 26, 2019We have cracked open the books for our first Novel Study using the One and Only Ivan set. It has been a magical few weeks of teaching for me. As a new teacher to the upper grades, the book club style of discussion and reading this specific story with my students has given me such joy and passion for teaching reading to fourth graders.
Our reading groups meet together three times a week, discussing the elements of our shared novel, answering questions geared to the higher order thinking of my students and amazing conversations of big themes emerge in an organic and powerful way.
Each child brings a special insight on the story and a unique perspective to our group discussion. My students have all made deep connections to the characters and the story. These connections have ignited a passion for animal conservation and I now have 28 animal activists in my classroom fired up to make a difference!
I see this book club ending in more than just a shared reading experience and a group of book enthusiasts-I see it additionally as a stepping stone to building a generation of responsible stewards of animal activism.”

Wiggly Bodies Need Flexible Seating
Funded Oct 18, 2018What an exciting few weeks in our kinder classroom...Boy have the students loved the incoming seating options in our classroom. Not only have the boxes excited them but so have the colors, textures and movement of our new seats. The excitement did not stop at the novelty of ball chairs in our room--My kindergarteners have had an overwhelmingly positive reaction to all the new flexible seating. They have learned to follow rules and expectations of the new seats--and the seating options have greatly impacted their learning!!
My small groups centers have been boosted by our new seating--making rotations a sought after part of our day. I couldn't be happier with our progressive seating options. Thank you to everyone who has made this possible for us at Enadia Way. Hopefully our flexible seating will inspire other teachers to explore progressive teaching ideas/ learning environments as well as inspiring our students to thrive! Thank you!!”

A New Teacher Start-Up Kit
Funded Mar 27, 2018It has been so great to have a colored printer in my classroom. Access to thins printer has allowed me to work on larger printing projects then could have been previously support on the shared printer at our school. The students have gained a writing center with various vocabulary cards and matching images. These cards encourage the students to write their own stories, cards, and lists using the monthly vocabulary. They absolutely love this center!!! I have been working on creating (printing and soon to be laminating) a dice game, with changing activities. This month I was able to print and introduce a few games which the students play in center and LOVE!
Thank you for such a wonderful gift.”

Funded Dec 14, 2017thank you for such a wonderful donation of books on CD. Your dentation has impacted my students in such a powerful way. We have used these books to enhance our language arts learning time more specify our small group rotations. Not only do my students benefit from hearing books read to them but it also affords me time to work in small groups on reading instruction and reading intervention. Without an aide in my kindergarten classroom (which now is packed full with 27 5-6 year Olds), it is difficult for me to run small groups. With your gift I am able to focus on and instruct in powerful and effective ways while my little ones contently listen to a variety of culturally diverse and enjoyable stories.”
