The books in this project are essential for the new literacy curriculum I will be implementing for my class. The students will benefit greatly from the switch to this new curriculum. The books are interesting and cover a wide variety of topics and skills. The topics range from relationships with others and their feelings to transportation and animals. While building their literacy skills the children will also develop tools they can use in their daily life. Children learn best when they are interested in the lesson and have active discussions, which is what these books will do. These books make learning fun for the students. Just reading to students is not enough. They need to be engaged and be excited to learn. Adding these books to our curriculum will help my students develop and enhance their literacy skills.
