Touch, Feel, Explore and Learn
Funded Jul 17, 2023I can not thank you enough for your kind donation to our classroom. The magnetic tile extension set has made a huge difference in our classroom. Our students are able to build huge structures and let their imagination flow. They have been able to work together and contribute to each other's creations, which fosters teamwork and pride in our classroom.
The moment we received our boxes, our students were all excited to help me open them and see what was inside. The faces of joy and their expressions to see the boxes were priceless to look at. They were delighted to see the magnetic tiles and commented "a car", "teacher I like this one", "wow", "a big one!".
Our sincere thank you for your kindness and giving hearts.”

Funded Mar 13, 2023Thank you for supporting our classroom with the donation for "our calming area". This project was an important component for my classroom as our preschool students are working on building self-regulation and social skills.
The students were thrilled to see the beanbag set up with the cozy canopy. They were able to access sensory and calming objects to manipulate ti de-escalate their emotions when needed.
We were able to have daily emotional checks and talk about feelings with our students. Our minimally verbal students were able to gesture and imitate feelings gestures when using the emoji feelings visuals and share with each other.”

We Have So Much to Say
Funded Oct 11, 2022My students were so excited to help me open the packages. It was the cutest thing to hear their expressions with phrases like "it's a toy", "wow", "it's beautiful", "oink, oink". We have been engaging in activities using the realia in the Early Language and Language Lotto sets. They love to feel the objects and have a great time matching objects to pictures. We have been adding fun to our activities by using the mystery box to have them pull out objects and label them during other lessons such as fruits during our tree study. The lamination sheets came in just in time for the holidays. I was able to laminate their little hand prints for a keepsake to their families and other essential visuals for my classroom to make the last for the years to come.
I truly appreciate and am grateful for your contribution and funding of my project.”

Learning Together From Home
Funded Dec 1, 2020I cannot thank you enough for the great impact the donations had on my virtual class during these difficult year. I was very worried about student engagement and the magnetic/wipe boards were a hit with the parents and students.
Our students were excited everyday about their boards; when given the choice to take out a piece of paper or use their board, they would choose the board and copy letters, numbers, shapes according to my lesson. Others would draw and proudly show me their pictures. The alphabet magnetic letters and numbers were amazing for my students learning to match and for letters as well.
My parents were very thankful for the resources and excited to see the positive response from the children. The jumbo boards will be used to model to my students during future lessons in the classroom as well as the alphabet bucket with visuals. I will forever be grateful for the donations that helped my classroom have a successful school year during these unprecedented time.”

Funded Dec 16, 2019I am beyond thankful and excited to let you know that our students are absolutely loving and enjoying the materials you helped provide to our classroom. We opened the package as a group and the look on their faces with curiosity to find out what was in the box was the most adorable thing to witness. We talked about how some "nice people gave us new materials to have fun and learn". They made predictions about what might be inside the box like "the toys inside the box". They labeled items as I pulled them out using gestures, sounds, vocalizations, single words and full sentences.
Our learning of letters was enhanced by adding the visual cards to pair them with the writing doodle pads. They can practice letter formation skills by following the arrows on each card. The sensory finger paint is a hit in the classroom. It was surprising to watch all students participating; the paint even attracted those students with tactile sensitivity! They were also able to work on color names as they requested which color they wanted next. The small visuals in the sorting activity and sound tubs is one of our favorites. Needless to say, the action mats are a great tool to use anytime throughout the day to help them stretch and recharge while moving and having fun.
We are very lucky and grateful for the funding of this project and for the valuable resources that you have made possible in our classroom.”

Interactive Technology and Art for Fun Learning!
Funded Mar 27, 2018Thank you for your generous donation to our classroom. The materials are a great addition to this program and will last us to use and re-use with new kids each year. The children were excited as the boxes arrived. We opened them together and shared with our students the excitement as they saw the materials coming out of the box. Students were clapping and smiling as they held the supplies. One student commented "now we have a little boy and his chair" as she saw the block play people with differing abilities.
Our students are enjoying literacy activities using the storytelling glove. They look forward to the felt stories during reading activities and we are delighted to be able to have them enjoy this moments on a clean rug thanks to the donation of the vacuum cleaner. The ipad complements our small group activities as we use technology as a filler activity at the end of our small groups and bring to life nursery rhymes that help the students engage in literacy.
The do-a-dots sparked our students' interest in art and greatly assisted in developing precision and fine motor skills. They were excited about using them for the first time to create their "Thank You" banner. They took pride in choosing their letter and color and we had an interactive activity as we labeled the letters to form the banner. Your generosity will forever be cherished and the great experiences that our students enjoyed are priceless. Thank you for your kind support.”

Funded Jul 15, 2017Thank you very much for donating to our classroom. These materials have sparked engagement in the children and are a great contribution to their pre-academic development. The children were amazed to see the "big boxes" in our classroom. We opened them all together during large group and they were super excited as I pulled out the materials. One of my students said "I watched this on you tube" as we pulled out the magna tiles box. They were holding the sand timers and observing as the sand goes up and down. It was heart warming to see the joyful expressions in their face as things were pulled out.
We use the timers during small groups and they have learned to transition when the sand is "all gone". The play doh has been a hit in the classroom. The children work on their fine motor skills and have a fun time making letters and even re-telling stories as they roll their own "gingerbread man". They love to listen to the audio stories! During read-a-loud, they point to "the lady book with music" and sing along the story. They are expressing their creativity and using language as they build with the magna tiles. One student commented "oops, I dropped my beautiful house", another child proudly shared with the group "look teacher I did it"! as he discovered how the magnetic shapes stuck together.
The experiences that your contribution brought to our classroom are countless. We will continue using the materials to learn colors, shapes, literacy, counting skills and foster social experiences for our young learners. Thank you very much for making our project a reality!!”

Ms. Carrillo
