The Chromebooks will have a positive impact in my classroom by allowing my students to integrate technology in our math lessons. We will be able to create a blended classroom and explore math with real world applications. We can take virtual tours to foreign classrooms and interact with students from all over the world and explore math through various cultures and experiences. The use of technology will allow me to be more efficient in collecting and utilizing data in my planning and execution of my lessons. Also, the rigor of the curriculum will be enhanced through higher order thinking skills, problem solving and group work. Collaboration will be increased through shared use of the Chromebooks and e-portfolios. Success and learning would look a lot different. Students will be actively engaged and excited. Students will get timely feedback on work. We would be using these devices to problem solving and to share and communicate with students within our school and throughout the world. In short, my class will become a dynamic environment that fosters creativity and affords the students the tools they need in order to be able to express their knowledge and understanding of the world around them. Students will collaborate and teach their peers (and their teacher) how to do amazing things with these devices. Learning will be enhanced through video, audio, printable, interactive simulations, live virtual sessions, live chats, recorded webinars, small group conferencing and self-paced learning.
