Think of your days in school and at home in which you were required to learn/study. Which environment do you prefer, sitting on a hard chair trying to learn or choosing a seating option that best suits you? Children learn best in an environment in which they are comfortable. I am trying to increase learning and engagement in my classroom as well as to decrease behavior problems. Many children need to be moving throughout the day, flexible seating allows students to move and choose the seating that allows them to be most engaged during instruction and seat work time. I am asking for four Scoop Rocker Chairs, two Kore Wobble Chairs, three Gaiam Ball Chairs, four round balance discs and a set of h Bouncy Bands for Chairs. By acquiring the materials listed my students will have the opportunity to choose the seating option that works best for their learning style.
