  • Scholastic News and Magazines to Increase Interest in Math and Science

    Funded Nov 25, 2018

This project has brought a wonderful learning experience to our classroom. Students are enjoying their Scholastic Articles. We have added this activity to our weekly agenda, and we discuss the interesting articles together, as well as go over the questions students answer. It has been amazing to see the joy students have when reading the articles. Our class has also seen an increase in academic progress as well as growth on their diagnostic tests and benchmarks. Thank you so much for your donations, to help make this project a success for our classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Richardson

  • Math and Science Family Engagement Program

    Funded Nov 26, 2018

This project has increased our family involvement at our school. Parents have the opportunity to connect with their child's learning experience and educational experience. Students and parents now have the ability to work together on standards that students are struggling with, to help their child understand standards and math strategies better. Our class has also seen an increase in academic progress as well as growth on their diagnostic tests and benchmarks. Thank you so much for your donations, to help make this project a success for our classroom.”

  • Captivate Students and Parents with STEM, Math, and Science Books

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you so much for your kind donations to help make this project possible for my students. Their eyes grew as they read about the amazing science facts. Students especially enjoyed reading the National Geographic books, and the books about how things work. This project has worked wonderful in my reading stations to help with blended learning. With these books, students were able to read about math and science, and learn about standards we are learning in class, but through reading. Students worked in groups, and they have a family reading night planned for December. This event will bring families together and students will read with their families, and get to share their learning experiences from class. Without your help and donations, this would not have been possible as we are a Title I school with very limited classroom and class material funding. Thank you again so much, the students loved the new classroom books, and they make a great addition to our classroom library. Happy Holidays!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Richardson

  • Let's Get Moving - Outdoors for Research and Science

    Funded Jan 9, 2018

Thank you for funding our classroom project. This project has helped us take our classroom and learning experience outdoors. Students really enjoy outdoor projects while learning. The small tablets allow students to take their assignments with them, and they are the perfect size for them to carry. Without your help and donations, we would not have been able to make this project come to life. Thank you so much, and we look forward to our learning experiences on the outside.

  • An Ear-resistable Approach to Building Math Skills and Integrating STEM

    Funded Dec 19, 2017

Our class would like to thank you for providing them with the fun fraction games, and the headphones. We have started our intervention for EOG test prep, and students are using i-Ready for their intervention for at least 30 minutes per day. With the new headphones, students are now able to listen to their lessons during this time, they had to have the volume off before, because it would disturb other students. We are very thankful for the joy you have brought to our classroom, and we wanted to let you know how much we appreciated your support. Thanks for caring and donating.

Students do amazing things at school every day. We have a very low income school and teachers are only given $100.00 each year for our classrooms. The whiteboards in our classrooms are recycled or used boards passed down from other schools and are not magnetic and they don't erase easily or neatly. Students love to come up and show off their math skills on the whiteboard, and I would love to offer students a nice whiteboard to use in our classroom that is user friendly and wipes off easily. When they show off their many talents, we don't have any way of catching those moments in the classroom, so we need some technology (camera) to show off our work. We would love to have our donors and community members see the great work we are doing in our classroom, which may show other donors the great things we are striving to achieve and perhaps lead to a classroom makeover, as our school has outdated classroom materials, supplies, furniture, desks, etc.
